The P.6000 calibre was designed and manufactured in Neuchatel by Panerai Manufacture. It measures 151/2 inches in diameter. It oscillates at 21,600 vibrations an hour and is securely held in place with a bridge and twin supports. The calibre has a device that stops the balance wheel when the winding crown is removed. This allows for greater precision in adjusting the time.
